Zaisu Seat Chair (Saizu)

A Zaisu offers you a special feeling while sitting. The chair is made of beech tree. For more than 600 years, Zaisus are being used for sitting on tatami mats, especially in combination with a low table, which is traditionally used in Japanese-styled rooms.

The hole in the sitting surface provides the pleasure of sitting on tatami without missing the comfort of a backrest. The sitting surface is 45cm long and the ergonomically shaped backrest supports an upright sitting posture. To improve the sitting comfort, either a Zabuton* or a cushion can be used.
